Wheaton Ice Arena
Year-round ice-skating rink with a pro shop, work-out room & snack bar.Wheaton Ice Arena, one of two year-round indoor skating facilities in Montgomery Parks, offers a wide range of ice skating and ice hockey classes and camps for all ages and skill levels, as well as special events and skating exhibitions throughout the year.
Public skating sessions are offered throughout the week and Freestyle, Ice Dance sessions, Stick-n-Puck and Pick-Up Hockey for more experienced skaters. Schedules change slightly from month to month, so please see the monthly calendars on the “Skating Schedules” page for specific information.
Private and two-person lessons at Wheaton Ice Arena may be arranged with coaches who have contracts with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC).
Planning a birthday party or celebration? Have the coolest event or birthday party ever at Wheaton Ice Arena! Party Rooms are available to rent by the hour for birthday, office, and holiday parties at very reasonable rates. Two adjoining Party Rooms are available; rent both and open the partition to create one large room.
