Westmoreland Hills Local Park

The Equipment
The playground consist of mulch and sits in partial shade.  While it is not fenced, the park is located in a cul-de-sac.  One area has a seated teeter totter and a large structure with three different slides.  Climbing enthusiasts will be in awe of monkey bars, curl up bars of different heights, steel rings, a trio of elevated circular spinners, fireman’s pole, chain ladder and chain rock wall.  Four regular swings are also present.
The toddler area is within eyesight of the older play area.  It features a seated teeter totter, train with a slide exit, tunnel, motorcycle spring rocker, and a train depot area.  The swing set has a bucket and special needs swing.
The Scene
Westmoreland Hills Park is situated in a beautiful neighborhood.  The houses are stunning and neighbors are proactive in the safety of their community.  The park has a lot to offer visitors.  There is a playground, tennis and basketball courts, football field, picnic area, water fountain, and a community building available to rent.  Read the placard near the parking lot about Battery Bailey, a man-made hill built during the Civil War.  All in all, Westmoreland Hills is a lovely park worth checking out.
