Westmore Park
The Equipment
There are a total of four swings to accommodate all ages and stages. There are two horse ride on rockers, climbing rings, a “rock mountain,” and three slides. There is both a hanging spinner and two spinning seats along with a vintage, rusting metal climbing piece of equipment. Unfortunately, during our visit, the fun looking see-saw was broken. The playground is in partial shade.
The Scene
Westmore is a lovely neighborhood park, but, unfortunately, it is not fenced in at all. While it’s not a busy neighborhood street, its close proximity to the road would be of concern to those with small children. The playground has a variety of equipment for various ages along with two basketball courts. A covered picnic shelter with a grill would be a great place to have an event, however, there aren’t any restroom facilities.
