The Equipment
There is a nice variety of equipment at the playground. A swing set is complete with two swings each for toddlers and big kids. Tots can bounce on the animal rocker or climb on the plastic triceratops. Older kiddos can hit up the tire swing or head to the main piece of equipment which features floating steps, disc climbers, a chain “rope” and a climbing mountain flanked by railings making it easier for younger children to use. Two slides and a musical keyboard round out the offerings.
The Scene
The park is located in the same entrance as Pleasant Valley Golf Club and down the road from Cox Farms. There is a large parking lot and a nature trail that runs past the park. Only a single bench and picnic table are at the playground. A small picnic shelter with two tables and a grill is located near the playground. The area is fenced on one side and the surface is a mixture of mulch and a rubber area.
