Lancaster Community Park
The Equipment
There are two play structures opposite one another. The first one features two regular swings. The climbing pieces are neat with a double helix apparatus, step version and a pyramid climber. A large rock wall is flanked by a spiral and straight slide. Off to the side is a spinning seat and a large, elevated circular spinner.
The second structure has two bucket swings. There is a net shaped step climber and foam stepping stumps. A mini rock wall is on one side followed by a second type of climbing wall. There are a few kinds of slides including a wavy, curved and side-by-side version. A tunnel and shape themed tic-tac-toe board complete this area.
The Scene
This beautiful park is just off of Prince William Parkway and situated in a neighborhood that is surrounded by two schools. In addition to playground equipment, there are two basketball courts, a volleyball pit, picnic shelter with grill, water fountain, new mulch and plenty of open space.
