Hayfield Park
The Equipment
The only thing missing at this lovely park are swings. There is plenty of green space where one could be installed, but it is still a great place to bring the kids. Besides, when school is not in session, head next door to Hayfield Elementary where there is a huge playground. The playground consists of one large piece of equipment. There are stepping stumps, whisper phones, animal and baseball tic-tac-toes, mini climbing wall, rock mountain and a cool crawling tunnel. The space is rounded out by four slides including spiral and wavy versions.
The Scene
Nestled in the Hayfield Farm development is a quaint park. Surrounded by trees, the park features open space, a mulch playground and a circular stone area with stone benches with a plaque about the history of Hayfield. The neighborhood is filled with families and while the playground is not fenced, there is plenty of street parking.
Age Recommendation
Best for ages 3 to 12.
Restrooms
None, but there is a shopping center with a Giant, Subway and McDonald’s across the road.
