Hagerstown BMX
HagerstownBMX works hard to create a safe, positive, family friendly atmosphere for riders of all ages. The success of the track is based on participation from the community. We want all riders to enjoy the track and we do our best to be helpful and encourage growth. People who enjoy BMX love to talk BMX, don’t hesitate to ask questions.
BMX is an individual sport, meaning you can take it as serious or casual as you like. You are competing for points against other riders at your skill level and age, the more you race the more points you can earn.
Outside the cost of your bike and safety equipment there are not a lot of expenses. Local single point races at HagerstownBMX are $10, Maryland State Qualifiers are $25, other regional and national races cost a little more.
Bikes come in all sizes and costs. Strider bikes (balance bikes with no pedals for ages under 5) start at around $70, entry level 20″ race bikes start around $300. There is a huge used market, as riders upgrade or grow out of their current bikes and safety gear, that can save a significant amount of money.
