Martial Arts academy specializing in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Strength and Conditioning.
BETA Academy is located on the corner of Florida Ave and 14th Street NW (1353 Florida Ave NW), which is less than two blocks away from the U Street Metro Station (Green/Yellow Line). Our 10,000 square foot facility has two different rooms dedicated to martial arts training and fully equipped with MMA cage paneling, a boxing ring, premium punching bags, speed bags, Muay Thai pads, and focus mitts.
A third area houses our state-of-the-art fitness room complete with all the equipment you need to increase your strength, improve your conditioning, and lose weight.
Don’t know where to buy gear? BETA Academy also has a Pro-Shop where you can purchase everything you need to train. Changing rooms, lockers, and showers are also available so you can take advantage of early morning and lunch time classes.
At BETA Academy, our mission is to connect people through the practice of martial arts. It can be more than simply learning to punch and kick. It can be a means of self-expression, a vehicle for self-development – an art form that moves us toward a healthier, more creative and more peaceful life. At the core of our practice is a code that we can carry with us on and off the mats. These values influence how we practice and ultimately; how we treat one another.
